Earlville, IA -- Randy Meyer Racing and his crew visited Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa on September 9th to the 11th for the Lucas Oil NHRA Division 5 Points Race to continue his points lead for the West-Central division championship.

Randy Meyer had ended up qualifying fourth with a 5.48 second pass, pairing him up against Jared Dreher. Dreher, having a too early of a head start, allowed Meyer to move on to second round with an automatic red light.

However, Sunday’s eliminations ended early for Meyer as he lost second round. He had the advantage off the starting line, yet slowed down running a 5.49 at 264 mph, as Meyer lost in the semi-finals.

The team left that day with a very consistent car and the points to hold his position as the leader of his division.

This event was the last drag race for division 5, and Randy Meyer’s last national race will be following this weekend for the NHRA Fall National held in Dallas, Texas.
