Randy Meyer:  Team Owner - Crew Chief

A highly respected member of the NHRA Drag Racing family, Randy Meyer has had a successful career spanning over 30 years of racing as Driver, Team Owner and Crew Chief from AHRA Pro-Comp to IHRA Top Fuel and NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster.

Meyer started his racing career in 1979 with a Front Engine Dragster that he would bracket race in the Midwest until 1983 when Randy built his very own Blown Alcohol Rear Engine Dragster to compete in the AHRA Championship. In that very same year Meyer re-set the Pro Comp World Record and won the 1983 World Championship. 1988-1989 saw Meyer wet his feet in both the IHRA and NHRA Top Fuel Classes.

In 1989 Meyer made the move to the NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster class in the A/Fuel ranks setting the stage for his most successful years of racing. Randy himself won the Division Five Championship in 2001 before handing the driving duties over to Gary Ormbsy Jr in 2002 and becoming the first Top Alcohol Dragster to run into the teens with a solid 5.135et pass.

A highlight for the Meyer Racing Team came in 2003 when Meyer tuned current Top Fuel Driver, Alan Bradshaw to the Top Alcohol Dragster World Championship and cementing the Meyer name as a force in the Top Alcohol ranks. Randy returned to the drivers seat in 2004 until 2007 gaining further success as he wheeled his way to three consecutive LODRS Division Five Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006 along with placing in the top three of the NHRA National Championship in 2004 and 2005.

Once again Meyer handed the driving duties over to than rookie driver, Diana Harker and her twin sister Kate in 2008. Randy proved his credit as a tuner, taking both girls to a total of four finals and respectable finishes in both the LODRS and NHRA National Championships.

2009 again saw Meyer making the tune up calls and this time for Nebraska resident, Dan Kracht who proved his skills as a rookie driver wheeling the team to their fourth LODRS Division Five Championship title. In 2010 and 2011, Meyer was back in the drivers seat to campaign the teams solid performances in the championship chase.
